As diverse as the Luxemburgish society is, it could be of benefit of having a chatbot layered over Myguichet, where the user could converse in her/his preferred tongue and under the hood the bot translates the request back into french/english/whatever the system needs.

Paired with LLM tech, translating the request (not just from language A into B but also subsequently, semantically i.e. what the user means should be feasible these days. ChatGPT is happy for me to give it inputs in English and tell it to reply in french so I can pass the reply on to my french colleague so this should be "trivial" whilst providing a huge benefit to the citizens coming from further afar.

Hi everyone, My name is Yann, I'm a researcher working on generative AI and in particular chatbots. I personally have been asking myself the same question as Paul so I have started building a prototype for my personal use. One thing to bear in mind on the technological side, as of today you can already use the WebChatGPT extension freely available to do a commendable job at extracting information from guichet lu. It is able to answer general questions while citing sources as you can see here. I would recommend you to try it out @Paul Kreier. https://chat.openai.com/c/153b2a3e-27d6-42df-b2d3-b1651e37e810 Although ChatGPT with the extension brings out valuable information there are many shortcomings as well: - it loses its conversational aspect because of the way the prompt is set up - it has a hard time incorporating more than a couple of sources - it is prone to hallucination - it quotes external sources other than guichet lu What I have set out to do on my side to address these issues was to fine-tune an open-source language model. The technology has done a lot of progress but it is far from trivial. The demo is still for personal-use since hosting it myself would be too costly but I would be more than happy to discuss the possibility of developing the project further.
