Local reception desk
Public consultation
Currently, citizens can approach the Guichet.lu physical reception desk, located on Rue Notre-Dame in Luxembourg City, with any questions they may have about the administrative procedures and services offered by Luxembourg's administrations and public bodies. It assists citizens with their formalities and guides them to the appropriate services.
To bring this service closer to all citizens, the government committed itself in the coalition agreement to offer “additional Guichet reception desks (…) in various regions”.
In this context, the Ministry for Digitalisation wishes to survey your needs for creating such a local reception desk an administrative service point near you that provides direct access to and assistance with public services for those who cannot or prefer not to complete their formalities online.
Phases
Progress of the project to implement local reception desks
Following the public consultation organized by the Ministry for Digitalisation regarding the decentralization of the physical reception desk “Guichet.lu”, located in the rue Notre-Dame in Luxembourg City, the Government IT Center (CTIE) has launched a call for applications to provide a mobile reception desk that will serve each region of the country on a monthly basis.
The results of the public consultation clearly highlighted the need for a closer administrative presence to citizens, especially for those who face difficulties completing their procedures online. The mobile reception desk is intended to provide citizens with direct access and personalized assistance for public services, ensuring an Administration that serves everyone.
The call for applications is open until the 16th June 2025.
The Ministry for Digitalisation wishes to thank the approximately 8,000 citizens who participated in the public consultation for sharing their needs and expectations.
