Are you interested in improving public services? Are you eager to share your experiences and challenges that you encounter with public services?
The Council for Simplification addresses this need by bringing together the diverse needs and perspectives of all stakeholders – citizens, businesses, academia, and the public sector. Only together can we design effective public services.
Participate in this collaborative process and work with us to develop concrete proposals for change in various workshops and online via this platform's contribution function.
All people interested in the topic of administrative simplification are cordially invited to participate. Whether you are a citizen, an employee in Luxembourg, an entrepreneur (regardless of sector), or working in the academic sector, it doesn't matter. Everyone is welcome!
Share your thoughts and ideas with us in person by registering for one of our interactive workshops, divided into different interest groups:
- Workshop for entrepreneurs: the 7th of July 2025, from 1 to 3 pm in Luxembourg-Neudorf.
- Workshop for citizens: the 8th of July 2025, from 6:15 to 8:15 to pm in Luxembourg-Gare.
- Workshop for researchers and academics (including students): the 17th October 2025, from 10:00am to 12:00pm in Esch-Belval.

Could you give us more information about your main expectations before participating in this workshop?
Respondents most frequently mentioned an interest in contributing to service improvement and sharing their own insights or experiences. Curiosity and a desire to learn more about end user needs were also common expectations. One respondent highlighted the enjoyable and engaging nature of the workshop, noting it exceeded their initial expectations and helped them broaden their perspective. Overall, the main trends were a focus on active participation, learning, and making a meaningful impact.
To what extent did the workshop help you meet a specific need related to your expectations?
Most respondents found the workshop helpful in addressing their specific needs, with several mentioning tangible outcomes and creative problem-solving. There was appreciation for the diversity and interest of the projects presented. A notable issue raised was the problematic recognition of foreign MBAs in Luxembourg. However, not all participants felt their expectations were met, with at least one respondent expressing disappointment. Overall, the most frequent themes were practical learning, creative thinking, and project diversity, with some specific concerns about professional recognition.

What is the most important thing you learned from this workshop?
Respondents most frequently mentioned the importance of creativity and thinking outside the box to achieve tangible results. Listening was also highlighted as a key takeaway. There were a few responses indicating little or no perceived learning from the workshop and some responses were left blank or non-specific. Overall, the main trends were an emphasis on creative problem-solving and active listening.
Is there a topic or section that you would have liked to see covered in more depth?
Administrative simplification and ideation were the most commonly mentioned topics that respondents wished to see explored in greater depth. There was also interest in practical approaches to managing problems and reaching solutions. Some respondents did not specify any particular area for further exploration or left the question blank. Overall, the main trends were requests for deeper discussion on administrative processes, ideation, and problem-solving strategies.

If the workshop were to be held again, what changes would you make to the format or structure?
Several respondents suggested changes to the workshop format, with the most common themes being a desire for a shorter duration, such as a half-day session and the need for clearer explanations or introductions before the workshop begins. There was also mention of providing stronger incentives to encourage attendance, particularly on Saturday mornings. One respondent did not feel able to comment due to limited participation while another expressed satisfaction with the current format and encouraged its continuation.
What did you appreciate most about interacting with the other participants?
Respondents most frequently appreciated the diversity of perspectives and backgrounds among participants as well as the opportunity to learn from others. Collaboration and teamwork were also highlighted as positive aspects along with a general sense of kindness and cooperation. Ideation and the sharing of ideas were mentioned as valuable. Some responses were left blank or contained minimal input. Overall, the most common themes were diversity, learning, and collaborative spirit.

In your opinion, what would be the most relevant next steps or follow-up actions to consolidate what you learned in this workshop (e.g., advanced session, topics to cover, additional tools)?
Several respondents expressed interest in continuing with advanced sessions or follow-up workshops to build on the initial experience. There was a suggestion to present the results at a future event, specifically the 2025 'journée'. One respondent reported a negative experience due to the behaviour of another participant, but remained open to future participation to improve their impression. Another respondent indicated no further actions were needed. Overall, the most common theme was a desire for continued engagement through advanced sessions or further workshops.

Most respondents did not provide additional comments or suggestions, with several explicitly stating "none" or "not". One respondent encouraged the continuation of the project with "Keep it up". A single respondent highlighted the importance of moderator intervention in certain cases. Overall, the feedback was minimal, with the most common trend being a lack of further suggestions.
